I have a snow plow for my JD 316. I need to replace some springs in the yellow circle in the pic below. Does anyone know what they are called. You guys are pretty smart and I’ve attempted to find a part number or something to that effect with no results. Any ideas?

Give JD or your JD dealer a call. Back home we have JD mowers/tractors/buggies and they never hesitate. Heck, they sometimes just send over a part.

Yea, just wanted to have an idea of what it was called before I went in there.

pretty sure that is just called a spring pin, they come in standard sizes at tractor supply stores if you want to save some money.

Use this: http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/c…
You should be able to put your tractor model number in there and come up with any and all parts by name and part number. It is very handy, as I’ve got a 2305 that I’ve found lots of parts for. Your local dealer is also a good resource for getting parts, as they can usually get them inside of a week and usually only a couple days. Pricing is usually not that bad on stuff like that either.

Yea I tried that this morning. Nothing for a 316, so I looked up the plow a ‘400' and the diagram falls short.

If you know the plow width try searching that way. I’ve got a 47" snow blower on mine and if I search for 47 I can get to the parts list that way.
